Jon Callahan

Jon Callahan is head coach of the LaGrange High School girls varsity team. Coach Callahan teaches video production at Gardner Newman Middle school and is a club soccer coach with NGSA LaGrange. He coached college soccer from 2005-2018 at Dallas Baptist University (Student and graduate assistant women’s coach), Arizona Christian University (Head women’s coach), Phoenix College (Assistant women’s coach), and Point University (First assistant men’s coach). He holds a United Soccer Coaches national license and advanced national goalkeeping license as well as US Soccer Federation coaching licenses. Callahan was boys head coach at Darlington School soccer academy from 2018-2020.

As a player, Coach Callahan spent two years as the starting goalkeeper at Dallas Baptist University (NCAA II) setting the school’s lowest goals against average in 2004, then breaking it in 2005. Callahan was also named team MVP in 2005. In 2006 after mens soccer was cut at DBU, he transferred to Texas A&M International University where he spent one season as the starter before returning to DBU to continue coaching.

Callahan returned to the area in 2021 from a year teaching and coaching at Walton High School in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He and his wife Hannah reside in LaGrange with their two children Elsie and Jack.


Andy Fritchley

Andy Fritchley is an assistant coach at LaGrange High School. Coach Fritchley has been coaching soccer for over fifteen years, serving his eighth year overseeing the Varsity and Junior Varsity programs of LaGrange High School. Coach Fritchley is a former club coach licensed through the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF). Coach Fritchley led his academy teams to numerous tournament titles including AFC Lightning Tournament, GSA Puma Invitational, Athens Invitational and Georgia Academy Cup.

Coach Fritchley played club soccer in Gainesville, Georgia, and was a midfielder on the U-14 Gainesville Generals state championship team. He played varsity soccer at North Hall High School, lettering all four years, and was named most valuable offensive player his senior year, playing striker and attacking midfielder.


Kylie Russell

Kylie Russell is head coach of the LaGrange High School Junior Varsity team. Kylie played five years at LaGrange High School, earning four Varsity letters. Coach Russell also earned the United Soccer Coaches Senior Excellence Award, LaGrange High School Scholar-Athlete Award, LaGrange High School Varsity Girls’ Top Defender and the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards (4 years).

Before high school, Kylie played ten years of club soccer in Peachtree City with over 16 years of soccer experience from the time she was four. Kylie continued her soccer career at LaGrange College, being named a starter as a freshman. Kylie played a mix of midfield and defense for the Panthers women’s soccer team, always ready to jump in where the team needed her.

Kylie’s passion for soccer brought her back to LaGrange High School and she hopes to share her love of the sport and use her skills and experience to build a strong, talented team. Kylie is an avid pilot and is currently pursuing a career in aviation.
