Here’s a list of commonly asked questions about the LaGrange Girls Soccer Camp. If you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact the camp director.
What ages are allowed to attend the camp?
Your child must be at least 4 to attend. We cannot accept children any younger than this. The maximum age is 14.
Are family discounts available?
Yes, we offer discounts for multiple children in the same family. Those discounts are automatically calculated in the online registration system ($80 for first child, $10 off each additional child).
What if my child has never played soccer?
That’s absolutely fine! This is a camp designed around basic to intermediate skills and learning to love the game.
What do we need to bring to the camp?
Even if your child has never played soccer, we strongly encourage them to wear soccer cleats to camp. Tennis or running shoes are okay, but cleats provide much better traction on the field and give the player improved control over the soccer ball.
- Soccer cleats
- Shin guards (required)
- Soccer ball
- Water bottle / Thermos with ice cold water or Gatorade
- Sunscreen (please apply before camp)
- Change of clothes (just in case)
What works best for a soccer camp is a backpack style bag to store all packed items.
How do you keep everyone cool during camp?
Since July is so hot, even in the mornings, we will have frequent hydration breaks. Tents will be setup around the soccer complex to provide shade for these breaks. The camp will have an ample supply of ice, Gatorade and water for campers to stay cooled off.
What if it rains?
July does experience rain, but it’s rare in the mornings. In the case of inclement weather, we will gather at the soccer complex and take shelter as needed. Our instructors and camp director are trained in storm protocol, so every precaution is taken when inclement weather is in the area.
